Fans have speculated that The Batman could take inspiration from Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale’s limited comic book series The Long Halloween, in which mob boss Carmine Falcone and his family are hunted by a serial killer known as Holiday, prompting him to recruit various Batman villains to work for him. One character that has been rumored for months is The Penguin, with Colin Farrell in talks to take on the role, though it hasn’t been confirmed yet.
